The Akubela SL50 door lock can be added to the Bela Home app using either QR code scanning or Wi-Fi pairing.
This guide explains how to add the SL50 using Wi-Fi pairing mode.
Prerequisites
Before starting, ensure that the smartphone or tablet used for the installation is connected to the same Wi-Fi network that the SL50 door lock will use.
Note: The Akubela SL50 supports only 2.4 GHz (Wi-Fi 4) networks.
Step 1: Start the Device Addition Process
Open the Bela Home app and tap the + icon in the top-left corner.
Step 2: Enable Wi-Fi Pairing Mode
The app will display instructions for putting the SL50 into Wi-Fi pairing mode.
Note: If the door lock has already been paired with another account or installation, a factory reset may be required before continuing.
Step 3: Connect to the Door Lock Hotspot
Select Go immediately to connect to the temporary Wi-Fi hotspot created by the SL50.
In the Wi-Fi list, select the SSID that starts with SL50.
Note: Because the SL50 hotspot does not provide internet access, some mobile devices may display a warning or automatically switch networks. If prompted, choose to remain connected to the SL50 network.
Step 4: Configure the Home Wi-Fi Network
Select the Wi-Fi network that the SL50 should connect to and confirm your selection.
Step 5: Wait for the Pairing Process to Complete
The app will now transfer the Wi-Fi settings to the door lock and establish the connection.
This process may take up to a minute to complete.
When the pairing process finishes successfully, the app will display the device configuration page.
Enter a device name and select its location, then save the configuration.
The SL50 door lock is now added to the Bela Home app and ready for use.
