Before implementing the alarm call notification on any Akuvox monitor, please check the article: Akuvox - PBX VoIP - AK-S567 and Milesight, which are integrated with VoIP SIP cameras.
This article describes how to configure alarm call notifications between a Milesight SIP camera and the Akuvox AK-S567 PBX server, allowing the camera to automatically place SIP calls to Akuvox monitors when an event, such as motion detection, is triggered.
Prerequisites
Before configuring alarm call notifications, ensure that the SIP integration between the Milesight camera and the AK-S567 PBX server has already been completed.
Please refer to the article:
Akuvox - PBX VoIP - AK-S567 and Milesight SIP Camera Integration
Required Equipment
- 1 × Akuvox AK-S567 monitor with PBX service enabled.
- 1 × Milesight IP Camera that supports SIP VoIP functionality.
- Optional additional Akuvox monitors registered as SIP extensions on the AK-S567 PBX server.
Any Akuvox monitor registered on the AK-S567 PBX can receive alarm notifications generated by the Milesight camera.
Step 1: Configure the Alarm Phone List
The Alarm Phone List defines which SIP extensions will receive calls when an alarm event occurs.
- Log in to the Milesight camera web interface.
- Navigate to Settings → Network → Advanced → SIP.
- Select Alarm Phone List.
- Click Add to create a new alarm destination.
- Enter the extension number of the Akuvox monitor that should receive alarm calls.
- Configure a schedule if the alarm calls should only be active during specific time periods.
- Click Save to apply the settings.
Using schedules allows alarm calls to be sent only during selected hours, such as outside business hours or during night-time monitoring.
Step 2: Configure Event-Based Alarm Calls
After defining the alarm recipients, configure the event that will trigger the SIP call.
- Navigate to Settings → Event.
- Select the desired event type.
In this example, Motion Detection is used.
- Enable the event.
- Configure the detection area and sensitivity according to your requirements.
- Under Alarm Action, enable Alarm to SIP Phone.
- Select the previously configured alarm phone list if required.
- Click Save.
Note: The event schedule can be used together with the Alarm Phone List schedule to further control when notifications are generated.
Result
When the configured event is triggered, the Milesight camera will automatically place a SIP call to the extension(s) defined in the Alarm Phone List.
Any registered Akuvox monitor or SIP device that answers the call will receive the alarm notification and can immediately access the camera's live audio and video stream, depending on the device capabilities and SIP configuration.
