Safire Smart recorders allow adding Dingtian DT-Rxx relay modules, starting from version 1.4.14.
As a first step, always confirm that the recorder is updated to the latest firmware version and, if not, update it and then reset it to factory settings to avoid later issues.
DT-Rxx CONFIGURATION
The modules require preliminary configuration before being added to the NVRs. The default data are:
- IP - 192.168.1.100
- User - admin
- Password: admin
The two changes to be made are the following:
ADDING THE DT-Rxx TO THE SAFIRE SMART NVR
To add it, go to the Relay section where you will select Dingtian String and enter the IP and port of the module.
When it is online, both in the alarm inputs section and the outputs section, you will be able to see the module’s inputs and outputs to select and configure. In this case, it is a DT-R002 with 2 inputs and 2 outputs, which is what will appear on the NVR.
These inputs and outputs can be configured just like the NVR’s own relays.

OUTPUT CONFIGURATIONS FOR ALARM EVENTS
Once the module is added and online, you can select alarm inputs to perform actions as if they were the NVR’s own inputs, such as recording, sending Push notifications, sending email, etc.
Regarding relay outputs, they can be selected to activate on any alarm event, for example, a line crossing. This way, the relay outputs of the NVR, cameras, or the DT-R can be used interchangeably.
From the alarm output configuration, you set the relay activation time, which is 10 seconds by default.
Then, keep in mind that the time a relay remains active is the duration the event remains active (20 seconds by default) plus the configured relay output time (10 seconds), so after the event executes, the relay will remain active for 30 seconds. If events continue occurring within those 30 seconds, the relay will stay active. Therefore, you need to determine both the relay output seconds and the event seconds.
Next, you only need to specify within the Triggers that you want to activate the DT-R relay output.
