First, it is necessary to activate the facial detection mode on the camera that will perform this function. This setting can be done directly from the camera itself or from the recorder, as long as it supports this feature.
Configuration from the camera interface:

Configuration from the recorder interface:

Once the facial detection mode is set on the camera, it will be necessary to configure it, preferably from the NVR.
First, the camera detection will be activated. In this case, the recorder will automatically detect that the camera has facial recognition capability and will enable this feature through it.
Next, the following parameters will need to be configured:
- Facial detection area.
- Operating schedule of the detection.
- Minimum and maximum size a face can have within the camera’s perspective.

Once detection is configured, we must define the events the recorder will generate upon recognizing a face, both in cases of matches and non-matches with the database.
As with other recorder events, it will be necessary to configure the operating schedule and the actions to be executed when the event occurs.

Subsequently, it will be necessary to create the face groups that will be used for match comparisons.
From the Face Database section, the system will redirect to Sample Database, where different groups can be created and images of faces to be included in each group can be added.

Once the groups are created, in the match event configuration, those groups with which the recorder will compare detected faces must be selected.
