To set PIN codes on Safire terminals, you must first differentiate whether you have a controller or a standalone terminal.
The first step is to set the type of Authentication required in the corresponding reader, which can be "Card or Password":
Then we establish in the following section the PIN we want for each user:
To indicate the PIN on the reader we will use PIN+#
In the StandAlone teams we have 2 options:
1. For those terminals that allow us to set the Card/Fingerprint/Password Authentication method:
The PIN will be established in the following section when the user is created:
When we want to register with the PIN we will indicate ID+OK+PIN+OK
2. The terminal does not have the Card/Fingerprint/Password Authentication option, this is usually the case with the terminals models AC3005 and AC3001. In this case we will indicate the Card/Footprint option
We must check that we have the following option marked:
The PIN in this case will be set as a card number:
To register with this PIN, you will only have to enter PIN+OK in the terminal.
