To set PIN codes on Safire terminals, we must first differentiate whether we have a controller or a StandAlone terminal.
- CONTROLLERS
The first step is to establish in the corresponding reader the type of authentication required, in the case of wanting "Card or Password" authentication:
Then we establish in the next section the PIN we want for each user:
To indicate the PIN in the reader we will use PIN+#
*In the case of wanting to use the authentication "Card+PIN" we must introduce the PIN code of access from this other section:
- STANDALONE
In the StandAlone devices we have 2 options:
1. For those terminals that allow us to establish the Card/Fingerprint/Password authentication method:
The PIN will be established in the following section when creating the user:
When we want to register with the PIN we will indicate ID+OK+PIN+OK
2. The terminal does not have the Card/Fingerprint/Password Authentication option, this usually happens with the terminals models AC3005 and AC3001. In this case we will indicate the Card/Fingerprint option
It is necessary to check that the following option is checked:
The PIN in this case we will establish it as the number of a card:
To register with this PIN what we will have to indicate in the terminal is only PIN+OK.
