How to configure Safire Smart intercom to have sub door stations and monitor extensions.
All devices are bound to the Main Door Station :
- Sub Door Stations are linked to the Main Door Station
- Indoor Stations are linked to the Main Door Station
- Indoor Extensions are linked to an Indoor Station (which on his turn is linked to the Main Door Station)
See below example for an Intercom setup with 2 door stations and 1 indoor monitor with 1 extension monitor
🛠️ Devices Used
- SF-VI134-IPW-FACIAL as Main Door Station
- SF-VI131-IPW-MF as Sub Door station
- SF-VIDISP11-7WIP as Indoor station and Indoor Extension
⚙️ Setup
- Main door station
- Sub door station
- Indoor station
- Indoor Extension
- Call button configuration
- Safire Smart Max App
Main door station:
Go to Intercom->Number Configuration settings:
- Device Type : Main Door Station
- As we do a single house configuration, we can leave the rest on 0
- Disable device binding, we won't use user and password binding between devices
Sub door station:
Go to Intercom->Number Configuration settings:
- Device Type : Sub Door Station
- Enter the IP address of the Main Door Station
Indoor station
Go to Intercom->Device Information:
- Set Device Type as Indoor Station
- And Configure a room number, for example 101
Next go to Device Management
- Enter the IP address of the Main Door Station
- Click "Device Binding Authentication"
- Check "Anonymous" (as we are not using the device binding authentication in the Main Door Station)
- Click "OK"
- After clicking ok, the Binding State should say "Success"
As the Indoor station is now successfully bound to the main door station and the sub door station is also bound to the main door station, both main door station and sub door station will automatically appear in the device list
On this monitor you can now see the live view of both door stations
Indoor Extension
Go to Intercom->Device Information:
- Set Device Type as Indoor Extension
- This is the first extension, so we set the Indoor Extension No. to 1
Next go to Device Management
- Enter the IP address of the Indoor Station
- Click "Device Binding Authentication"
- Check "Anonymous" (as we are not using the device binding authentication in the Main Door Station)
- Click "OK"
- After clicking ok, the Binding State should say "Success"
As the Indoor extension is now successfully bound to the indoor station both main door station and sub door station will automatically appear in the device list
On this monitor you can now see the live view of both door stations
Call button configuration
Finally we setup the call button, on the main door station and on any sub door stations goto Intercom->One-Button Calling and configure how you want the call button to behave:
- Check "Press button to call platform" if you have the devices linked to the VMS and want to receive call notifications there
- Check "Press button to call administration APP" if you want to receive the call in the Safire Smart Max app
- Check "Press button to call indoor station" and enter the room numberof the indoor station, in our case the indoor station has room 101.
Safire Smart Max App
If you want to receive the calls from indoor station(s) in your Safire Smart Max app, you will need to add the main door station and any sub door stations individually to the app.
Goto System->Basic Information
In the Safire Smart Max app add device and scan the QR, after succesfully added, you will see the Binding state set to Bound in the basic information
