This installer manual provides a clear, actionable guide setting up XS-IPB040A-4Y-DL-SOLARPIR-4G. When deploying standalone solar cameras, cellular data connection is critical for remote monitoring. While these units are designed to automatically detect inserted SIM cards, localized carrier variables can occasionally prevent automatic network registration.
Make sure that you check if you are using the latest version of the Configtool.
1.Establish Local Network Link (LAN):
Physically link your setup laptop to the camera's network interface to form a Local Area Network (LAN). Once the hardware connection is physically established, launch the ConfigTool application to begin device discovery across the network link.
2.Locate and Initialize the Camera:
Scan the local network within ConfigTool. Identify the uninitialized solar camera from the populated device list, select its corresponding checkbox, and click the Initialize button.
3.Define Credentials and Recovery Parameters:
Create a secure administrative password for the camera. You must also input a valid email address during this stage for password recovery
4.Log into Device Configuration Menu:
Navigate directly to the Device Config tab at the top of the interface. Input the newly created administrative username and password to authenticate your session and open the system's backend operating menu.
5.Manually Provision Network and APN Profile:
Inside the main menu, navigate to the Network configuration sub-section. Locate the cellular settings, adjust the Network Type to match your carrier's bands, and manually input the specific APN (Access Point Name) strings provided by the SIM card's cellular network provider. Apply and save the changes to force manual cellular registration.
