This is a useful tool to know the duration of our UPS after a power failure, depending on the number of equipments connected at the same time and the consumption of each one.
We leave you a calculator to know which is the ideal UPS for your installation; you can find it under any product in the section Accessories-Power supply, in the Downloads tab.
To select the UPS model click here:
Time in minutes of duration of a UPS = ((N x V x AH x Eff ) / VA ) x 60
N = number of batteries in the UPS
V = battery voltage
AH = battery Ampere-Hour
Eff = efficiency of the UPS (as a rule, usually between 90% and 98% depending on the UPS)
VA = Volt-Amps
of the UPS Which for our model would be:
N = 1
V = 12V
AH = Approx. 7 Ah
Eff = unknown, but can be estimated at 0.92 to be conservative
VA = 700VA
To know the time of a specific equipment we must know what power in VA it consumes that can be found out by looking at its voltage and the amperes it consumes (this is not completely true because VA is the apparent power and not the active one that is usually expressed in W)
