Why the Safire Smart NVR 6000-B2 series?
The Safire Smart NVR 6000-B2 series is the mid-range of Safire Smart Network Video Recorders, and does not cost much more than the entry-level 3000-B1.

What do you need to know about the 6000-B2 series NVR?
The 6000-B2 series NVR are available from 4 to 16 channels for IP cameras with or without PoE connections. Furthermore, there is the version with space for 1 or with 2 hard drives.

As we can see from the images, there is an HDMI and a VGA connector on it. These two give the same image, so you can connect two monitors to it without incurring additional costs for a splitter.
Furthermore, we see the audio in and out. In case there is no audio in or microphone on a camera and you still want sound from it. The audio out is heard from the selected camera.
Then there is a USB connector for the backup USB or a mouse and on the front is also a USB connector which you can also use.
Hard drive installation
Make sure the device is turned off before installation. (Installation photos are for reference only)
- Before opening the NVR, make sure none of the cables are still connected.
- Loosen the screws to open the cover
- Place the HDD on the bottom of the NVR
- Turn the NVR over and secure the HDD with the screws
- Connect the power and data cables
- Replace the cover and secure it with the screws
Tip: Check the inside of the NVR and make sure the cables are properly connected before replacing the cover.
