In this article you can find the compatibility schemes of the LR1002/LR1002-1ET/LR1002-1EC devices.
Case 1: we can have an ePoE switch and an ePoE camera, for that we will need an LR1002 on the switch side and another on the camera side. All communicating by coaxial cable.
Case 2: Another option is to have an ePoE switch and make the camera standard PoE. For that we will need an LR1002 on the switch side and an LR1002-1ET on the camera side, to transform the power part to standard PoE so that the camera can receive it:
Case 3: The other option is to have a standard PoE switch and an ePoE camera, so you need an LR1002-1EC on the switch side and an LR1002 on the ePoE camera side that converts the power part from PoE to ePoE:
Case 4: The last option, if we have no ePoE device, we will use both LR1002-1EC on the switch side and LR1002-1ET on the camera side:
In conclusion: to pass the signal and power to ePoE devices through coax, we will need the LR1002, while the LR1002-1ET (camera side) and LR1002-1EC (switch side) are used when the conversion is made from standard PoE technology (af or at).
